Hair Colorist Wednesday: Color Formula!

Here is another great Color Formula!

This week we are taking our over highlighted medium to light blonde (Level 9) to a beautiful Golden Medium Brown with natural golden highlights.

Ready Set Go!

Starting Level: Natural Level 6 with Level 9 Blonde (Gold/Yellow) Highlights

Desired Level: Level 6 Golden Brown with Level 7 Golden Beige Highlights

Here are the steps!

Step 1: Retouch the previous highlights with a low level lightener, such as a powder lightener with a 10 volume developer. Apply this formula using baby fine highlights taking horizontal sections from the bottom to the top on both sides. Apply a conditioner based product, such as Cholesterol to the ends of the hair to isolate it inside of the foil.

Step 2: In between the foils apply - Formula #1 = 2 Parts Level 5 Gold - Shades 5G & 1 Part 4 Warmest Gold - Shades 4WG from roots to ends.

Step 3: Process for 20 min

Step 4: Shampoo Hair and Apply Glaze Formula from roots to ends (equal parts of Level 7 Golden Beige - Shades 7GB & Level 8 Warmest Gold - Shades 8WG)

Step 5: Process 20 min
