Hair Removal Company Suing Kim Kardashian For False Statments

Well its seems Kim Kardashian is scamming us again. This time it's in our industry. Words for money seems to be her game. Does that make her a Promotional Escort?

Kim Kardashian is being sued by the Hair-removal company, Radiancy. Allegedly she has made multiple false and misleading statements via social media and television appearances.

During an appearance on "The Wendy Williams Show" she claimed to have been using the product on her entire body. However, the company is very clear that the product is in no way to be used on the face, head, ears, neck, nipples, genitals or around the anus

I can see how this is a complete exaggeration on her part and it was highly unlikely that she meant she was using this product in these areas.

But, this was the kicker for me anyways...

According to Radiancy, Kardashian was tweeting last December that she began using the product and was loving the results, even though she had only been using the product for a few weeks. TRIA (the product being used) states she wouldn't begin to see results from the product for at least 90 days. In other words, it would be highly improbable that Kim would have noticed any result during that time.

Radiancy is asking that Kardashian stop making the allegedly false claims, and is also seeking unspecified damages.

This is interesting, that is for sure. Who knows with these celebrity's and their endorsements. I mean in the end that's what it is right? Just a public figure making money for the "act" of using a product.

Michelle Monaghan Joins the Fire Club.

Michelle Monaghan joins the redhead club. Monaghan showed off her fiery looks at the Toronto Film Festival on Monday.  According to some this cut and color seem to be quite the  resemblance to The Help star, Emma Stone..... I guess I see it.

Although her comments have been leaving many in confusion and displeasure, we are not here to discuss politics. So love her or hate her this is all about the hair!

It seems as if her hair is progressively getting better and clients are noticing.

Its funny how fashion/hair can supersede politics; but I must admit, I love it.

Bachmann's style "is safe, but not soccer mom. It's sexy," said Alma Qeraxhiu at her AlmaG Salon and Spa on E. 21st. St.

"I have found it a little bit amazing how many women have been coming in asking for her hair style, even though they don't agree with her politics."

Rihanna's Hair Stylist has it good! 23,000 a week good!

A report recently came out about Rihanna's hair stylist and how much she is getting paid to keep up the high maintenance super star.

According to the source the "Ursula Stephens bills her; $23,00 a week to keep her in the most eye-catching, head-turning, meme-making hairstyles."


Well thats one thought as to why we are always seeing her with a new look/style. 

Lady Gaga is using Rogain?

Is Lady Gaga turning to Rogaine to get hair back? That's what a recent report in The Sun suggests.

"Over the years Lady Gaga has put her locks under a lot of stress," a source told The Sun. "She's poured so much chemicals over them that it's damaged her follicles. She's hoping by using Rogaine, she can repair some of the harm."

I find it hard to believe that this is true but anything is possible and figured it would be fun to blog the excerpt.

Dita Von Teese was out for a day of shopping..... Cue Inspiration!

Personally I love Her! I also love vintage based styles. I think it's because it's nostalgic without having to live during the times. There is just an energy that is captivated from these times. Maybe it's from the media, movies & television (such as Mad Men) that brings this energy about?..... either way it's inspiring and gives us the ability to create something new with something old.... hence vintage!

She has been rocking this for a while and it still isn't old! My formula: 1 & 1/4 oz 6 level Copper - 1/2 oz 6 level Red Brown - 1/4 oz 7 level Neutral Gold

Lady Gaga's Mom Was Her Hair Stylist??

It seems Lady Gaga's mom used to cut her hair when she was younger. Funny thing about that is it wasn't by choice.

Apparently her mom used to cut her split ends while she was sleeping.

Why is this news floating about? Well she not only is telling the world about her secret hair stylist, but she's singing about it. Her new single "Hair" is about how parents try to change your looks, without realizing how important your hair and clothes are to your sense of identity.

In an interview about the song Gaga explained, "When I was young my mom and dad used to ask me to not leave the house dressed a certain way and asked me to change my hair."

"My mom would even cut my hair when I was asleep because I had really long split hairs, because I liked it really long like a hippy."

"Your hair is your glory and my hair represents my identity as it does represent the identity for many people."

I think with a song title like "Hair", we have to listen!

Canes Film Festival Brings Summer Trends and Insight!

With the summer coming, a new season of trends in hair fashion is sure to arise. What better way to get a sneak peak of these looks at Canes Film Festival.

This is one of the most premiere film festival in the world and it's located right off the coast of France. 

So it's not only about the movies its about the beach! 

Here are some of my favorite looks and my thoughts!:

I love Gwen Stefani with this look! The texture is awesome. It is definitely a look we have seen before but some how she always seems to make it different. This is a perfect look for a night out after a full day at the beach.

Elizabeth Olsen is rocking a 20's inspired style. This look is always fun! It's casual yet defined. You will see a lot of casual elegance from my grouping of pics.

Tilda Swinton gives her short DO an interesting look. It's a little more dressed up and has great structure.

I love this look worn on Uma Thurman! It is a perfect way to throw up your beach worn hair and make it elegant!

We have to talk about color! In doing so, I love this summer blonde! I highly recommend replicating Clemence Posey color this summer.  

 

Very similar to Gwen Stefani's look, Karolina Kurkova rocks out the texture. This look clearly has a little more elegance and sophistication. However, I love them both. If your looking for something a little more done, this is the look for you! Once again perfect for a night out after a full day at the beach!

New Video: How to Recreate Natalie Portman's Hair From Your Highness - Loose Texture and Fish Tail Braid

We just posted a new video up on our you tube channel!

This is a fun segment we are going to try and work in every couple of months: We are going to take a Movie of the month and recreate one of the characters style from that movie!

This month: We are recreating Natalie Portman's hair from the movie Your Highness.

I loved all the random, loose texture, that she had in her hair durring the movie. I thought it would be a fun thing that you could recreate on yourself or for those of you who are stylists on your guests.

And then there were a few scenes where she had her hair thrown into a messy side fish tail braid. I think this is a great day/night technique that you can use everyday, not to mention fish tail braids are amazingly  fun!

Venessa Hudgens Shows Off Her New Short Hair!

Venessa Hudgens cut her hair and sported a cool spin to the "Ombre" look.

She had this to say about her new look.....

"I started getting cut crazy, but tonight I just tucked it under because I haven’t had time to do my hair this evening. I think I might have it long soon again though for the music festivals and whatnot. But I think it’s fun. I just love changing my look. I get bored with it being stagnant."

The truth is I am kind of over the whole Ombre highlights. Not because I don't like the way it looks, more because I am over the buzz of it all.

However with that said, thank you Venessa Hudgens for making me love this again!

Twilight Star Cam Gigandet (James) Goes Blonde

Actor Cam Gigandet who played the role of James in Twilight decided to change his look. It seems like he did it on a whim and decided to put his hair in the hands of his sister, who is a stylist.

"It was just for fun. I just needed something different," Gigandet elaborated. “My sister does hair and she's great at it, but this is the first I've ever trusted her to do something.”

Not so sure about this one, but I figured it was relevant. 

What does he think?

"This is kind of the first day that people are finding out. It's only been a couple of days, but we'll see."

Great Series Of Pictures To Make You Look Younger

There is something to be said by a hairstyle that takes years off of your look.

Here are a few great shots of some of those looks.

My Thoughts: I love the idea of most of these. However, coming from the perspective of a hairstylist I think its very important to note that a look on one might not work for the other. Our facial shape 80% of the time will dictate what looks are great for us. So even though Jennifer Goodwin is looking Hot in that short DO, we can't forget to take the time to make it work for each person. Personalizing in this case is key!

Hilary Duff Makes Our Blog Twice in 2 Weeks: This Time She's Changing Her Hair Color

Maybe it was the new bangs? Maybe it's the dawn of spring/summer?

Either way Hilary Duff is back to the blonde; showing off her new locks at the premier of  Soul Surfer.


My thoughts: I have to say I thought she made a great brunette. But either way I think this works well for her. 


WIth out a doubt she has extensions here. Not that this is a bad thing! It just goes to show the power of adding extensions in the aid of changing color on a dime. Stylists; it's important for us to educate our corrective colors on the ability of extensions and the deception on how often their colors our changing.

Oprah Offers To Make-Over Donald Trump's Hair

 

According to Oprah you can't run for president with that Mop. Oprah offers to make-over Donald Trump's hair.

Not only is Oprah wanting to do this, she plans on doing this during her series premier in May. What a "bang" right?





So with the end of one legendary show brings the end of one legendary comb over!

This year the lucky contestants who have made it this far through the gruesome tests controlled by the trainers, will get a day of relaxation and excitement. Hosted by none other than Tim Gun & Hairstylist Ken Paves.

"It's so gratifying," Paves says. "I have the luxury of reintroducing women to themselves [when] they've forgotten how damn special they are. When you can take a woman like that and make her look so special, and she looks in the mirror and likes what she sees...that's the greatest part of what I'm doing and what I get to do."
