THE SCOOP: The 1990s-inspired collection Ronson created for her Spring 2011 line was meant to evoke a music-loving girl who wears her clothes effortlessly. The beauty look featured monochromatic, nude makeup paired with braids haphazardly woven through bedhead hair.

Soliz had a very specific look in mind when it came to figuring out the makeup. "The effect is meant to look worn and lived-in. This is a girl who just spent days at Burning Man or some other music festival, but still manages to look pretty, not a mess," he said. Skin was evened out with concealer (dabbed onto the lips, also, on top of balm), and a silvery-white shimmery cream was used as a highlighter on the browbones. "I wanted to add dimension to the face with countouring in a monochromatic palette, instead of using lots of color," said Soliz.
